Undercoating for trucks

Peterbilt told me they are using it on their lease and rental trucks this year in hopes of reducing the impact on the wiring harness.

We started to do all of our tractors last year, so far, it appears to be working, particularly on the newer equipment.

We make a gross mixture of grease and ATF and spray it like crazy. I do believe it works well in preserving the wiring harnesses and frame..

I know a guy who uses spray on flex seal on his wiring and brake chambers. comes in clear or black. Says this stuff is great protection

Since we are half way through December...is it too late for this year? Or, does the truck need to be put inside until it is completely dry? (Trying to end an argument here in the office.)
Thanks.

I don't think there is any time when it is too late to undercoat a truck, because the benefit lingers on into the next season. But I do think you need to give it a good wash first.

I have an owner op buddy that swears by the Crown rust proofing in the cans.

What do you mean a "buddy" ??? ... you have no friends ... LOL
I've heard the Crown (Krown) name kick around as well. I'm thinking we should probably give it a whirl.
Thanks for the feedback folks ... Have a very Merry and a happy Happy :)
