Anyone else having trouble collecting payment from UCX Freight Systems in Mississauga?

My invoice is now at 70 days and no end in sight.

The owner, Ken, seems to be the only person who can answer questions about payment, but he also seems to never be in the office.

I was told the best way to contact him was by email, but two days after sending him a message I have not heard back. When I called the office today he was out again.
 
Yes! We had a terrible time -constantly getting the run around from them! Invoice was due in April and we finally got paid in July.

I had our owner go down to personally pick it up because it conveniently kept getting "lost" in the mail.

On our DNU list now!
 
Too bad you didn't do a search here first - prior to extending credit.

There is alot of information on this company - all of it negative....

Horrible people to deal with. And simply "don't care"...
 
Keep pounding Ken's email and try to get him on the phone. It's the ONLY way to get paid.
 
If no one is getting back to you - send the invoice to their customer. Call and ask for a fax number or email for A/P - and send to them.

That would be another way to get paid...by someone...and that should get a reaction quite quickly - rather than exhausting your time trying to get the owner of UCX on the phone...

I wouldn't bother - you'll be waiting forever...
 
I have mentioned this in the past...

The search functionality does not work as it should on this forum.

Even now that I have posted this thread, if I search for ucx or UCX I get no search results...

Maybe it's just me...

I did eventually get a call back... but from a lady named Lee-Anne, not Ken. Got the old, "I put your cheque in the mail this morning" story...

I received the cheque just two days later... and just 75 days after invoicing them...
 
What's the key to finding the other thread, I'd like to have a look I have their freight on board now.
