Hello,

Just out of curiosity, we were using an old out-dated (couple years out) of PC-Miler. We were looking into udating it to the newer version (I think it is 25...). Than we got the price tag!!

Is there any reasonably priced options out there that can do something similar work?

Just checking the options right now

Thanks!

I started with Pc-miler version 4 in dos. , then version 13, now version 19 with streets. Paid about $6,000 for 5 users back in 2003, I have tested the latest version 29 but don't feel I could justify the cost of another $6,000. The newest version sucks up to much computer resources, and the various screen colours are poor for viewing. Just my opinion.

If you pay your drivers by the hub then maybe not but if you are doing a lot of quotes for large companies then you need something up to date on the latest routes to be sure you are quoting proper mileage that takes into account truck routes and new highways otherwise you will either bid too much or too little because you do not know all the information. Bubba when you mention it is hard to justify $6000 but at a cost of $1.50 per per mile if it saved you 80 miles per week it would pay for itself and that is over all your trucks and in 1 year. Lump sum numbers look scary but break them down and really not so big when you do.
