I booked a load with this company last week. I was suspicious the load may be double-brokered minutes after speaking with their dispatcher "Brian Krackovitch" and decided to cancel. 30 Minutes later on my way home, I get a unusual phone call on my cellphone from Stephane at S.C. Transport reassuring me the load is not double-brokered. Stephane happens to be from a company in Montreal's south shore that I have known for little over a year, never had any issues until now
(I ended up hauling the load)
When I got the paperwork(POD's) I called the carrier/broker identified on the shippers paperwork and found out the load in was in fact triple-brokered. From a US load broker to S.C. Transport to Transport Pierre Larouche until I ended up with the load on my flatbed. I was furious and wasn't sure if I should share this information everyone but I noticed Transport Pierre Larouche posting other freight on loadlink that clearly (without a doubt/sans aucun doute) looked as thou it was being double-brokered. I started to think, there must be others.
I became suspicious of Transport Pierre Larouche and their dispatcher Brian very early on. Everyone should be made aware about the questionable business practices of these parties involved. I never heard of Transport Pierre Larouche until around a week ago when I first started seeing loads pop-up from them on loadlink.
I should also mention, that after speaking with the US load broker and reporting this issue/complaint to them, I got a phone call from Stephane at SC Transport offering to pay me the funds right away. I was not amused and reminded him that I never wanted to deal with him or his companies again and that hiring Montreal anglos to do his dirty work was not the way to do business.
This problem was solved with the primary broker directly but everyone should be extra cautious. We have enough stress do deal with, who needs this ****!
(also learned from US broker that they were paying 3800USD and I agreed to do the load for 3800CDN)
