TRANSNET FREIGHT LIMITED
7686 KIMBEL STREET, UNIT 20
MISSISSAUGA, ON

MC#579816

Thank you

I've used them once and that was enough.

I requested a 10:00 AM pick up with a 53' Dry Van on a Monday (I booked the truck on Friday) for a load going to the Pacific North West for Friday delivery.

After numerous phone calls the truck finally showed up to load at 2:00 PM (each time he was lost... right around the corner... needed fuel etc) - I should've canceled the truck right then and there. It took the driver an hour to back into the door. (Customer closes at 3:00). He had a reefer. The customer considered not loading the truck and getting a van the following day. As it turned out the product would fit in the trailer it was just a bit of a pain to load.

Friday came... no truck at destination. He's 3 hours away we were told. Friday afternoon no truck. The driver called and the consignee closes early today so we can't make delivery we were told. That's OK we can lay him over until Monday for you no charge (gosh - thanks). Shortly after that the consignee called to say that they close at 8:00 PM if we can still make it. Called the customs broker... the truck hasn't crossed into the US yet. Called the carrier (Amy) Oh yes, we got your load mixed up with another one. Apparently "MY" truck broke down and didn't leave yet... we were going to call you... it's just really busy we were told.

Monday... no truck

Tuesday... no truck

Wednesday the truck showed at 2:00 PM

They're on my DNU

Is this the same as Transnet Trucking (7538863 Canada Inc.)?

NPB.... I show them as two separate carriers

Transnet Freight, MC 579816 is the one described in this thread.

Transnet Trucking, I show as not having an MC number (Only a CVOR) and I've had no dealings with them so, unfortunately cannot offer an opinion on the latter Transnet.

Transnet trucking and Transnet freight are two totally different companies, I have checked this also.....would MUCH rather stick with transnet trucking.....

I can't say I know them so much, but they have good looking equipment so that's usually a decent sign.

If I had to guess, they really wanted the load, picked it up, and a driver ditched and left them in a bad spot. Why they wouldn't just say so, I have no idea. I'd rather hear the truth and deal with it.

The fact that they lied through their teeth is enough for me. They just out of the blue (we have never used them) sent me an email looking for loads. Unfortunately for them I always start my vetting with Inside Transport. DNU list.

Transnet Freight, MC 579816 - have you worked with this carrier? does anyone worked with them?

Gotta love the individuals who choose to name their companies after others that have had a lot of press (in this case horrible press). Convoy was the Bezos led, freight broker, that went belly up because the tech they were implementing just wasn't working with enough entities in the supply chain.
Some individuals will latch onto these names so that internet searches for their company will lead them down the wrong rabbit hole.
