I've done a search here but cannot find anything about this company. Usually this is a good sign but we're having issues getting payment from:
Trans-Atlantic Freightways Inc.
235-800 Stuart Graham
Dorval, QC H4Y 1J6
514-636-7000

I cannot find them on the link. This is probably because they run under a different name on the link. If you know what it is can you comment?

The invoice is dated Oct 26, 2015. In the beginning of January we were originally told that the cheque was mailed in November. They would put a hold on it and re-issue.
We called mid January and was promised that it would be mailed out shortly.
Called again today and the cheque will now go out on Feb 5.

My concern is that if the cheque was originally printed and sent, but not received, what is the problem getting another one in the mail in a timely manner?

Does anyone else have issues?
 
We did 1 shipment of windows and it was a gong show, we bonded in and took forever to clear, the only good thing was that since it was a gong show we demanded payment up front before delivery. So really the only help I can be is that we have the same info for them and we dealt with a Melissa and a Mike.

Oldest stall-tactic in the book. It's been a long time since I've heard that one but I have one doing the same to me right now (not Trans-Atlantic). It's frustrating because you'd like to call BS but you can't prove they're lying... and they know it.

I have never dealt with this company, but this sounds like BS.

You are now well over 90 days and at this point excuses are meaningless.

When someone pulls this crap with me, I tell them that I will be in contact with the customer just to let them know that you have not been paid after 90 days and that you are waiting for the payment.

That usually gets the debtor to cough up for a courier pretty fast. And if not, call the customer to put them on notice.

We are not getting any replies. If anyone can be of assistance with this company, legal name 9318-4091 Quebec Inc. that would help.
 
Hi anything new on this company. Were trying to get in touch with them no response. Are they still around?
 
An update:
After bugging and bugging, calling everyday, disturbing the dispatchers, calling the shipper, receiver and the broker in the middle who was double brokered, we were finally able to receive the monies owed to us for the freight (but not the interest owed).
The payment was received via Interac Tranfer and failed a couple times due to an issue from the senders bank (holds on funds maybe). I don't understand what can hold it up but our bank advised us to call the customer to ask their bank to intervene.
The payment finally went through - payment received at 140 days outstanding.

Those bozos, almost took us for a ride too. Thank you to Baxter Bailey for putting them on your list. Manage to make arrangements with the other parties and the cheque will be in the mail tomorrow. DNU

NO one answers, this is very frustrating!!!

Trans-Atlantic just Double brokered a load of mine. Sold him load for 1700 and he double brokered load to carrier for 2500 Trans-Atlantic actually wrote the cheque to the carrier but of course it bounced on them. Scumbags!

They weren't replying to our calls or emails so I dropped by the office today. Door was locked and no voices inside. Doesn't look good....
 
Well an update:
They have closed their doors. I now have to issue a claim to the shippers and receiver and find out who in fact ownes the load,
