Trail Trac

Does anyone have any payment updates with Trail Trac Transport Inc?

We took an inter Canada load with them and they are complaining that we stamped the POD with our name on it. They are demanding that the stamp be removed (ie forge the POD) so they can process it and pay it. We stamp it to catch double brokers so now the alarm bell went off.

Second looks start to show some concerns now:
A difference in address:
P.O. Box 41209 Rockwood Mall, Mississauga, ON L4W5C9
vs
2315 Loreland Ave, Mississauga, ON L4X2A6

No corporate website, no signatures on emails.

But, phone number (1-800) matches, HST number matches.

I'm concerned about a potential double broker, or did they get hacked and someone is posing as Trail Trac.? They are a large enough company to have better processes than this. Did they get bought out like Blueline and things are taking a turn?

Does anyone have any recent info?

I'm sure they're still trying to recover from Lakeside Produce collapse

But still, why are they asking you to remove the stamp..?
I don't get it either. If they brokered it out with the customer's consent, then the stamp shouldn't make a difference. The fact that they're making an issue is making me think twice and questioning it.

Fishy for sure.

Only 2 reasons to complain about that stamp is double broker or the customer is expecting asset service w/ Trailtrac.

@Jim L I have some recent experience with hacked and spoofed emails. If you think the email was hacked or spoofed then call the publically available number for Trail-Trac and talk to someone in the admin dept. to confirm they sent email. Confirm all the details, date / time, subject ....

If it is legitimate, ask them why it was not on the rate confirmation.

Did they instruct the driver to check in for Trail-Trac and also are they demanding the original BOL?

Assuming they are not a large and important customer and you don't mind potentially burning this bridge, politely tell them to sod-off and ask for payment. There is nothing stopping them from altering the BOL to remove the stamp.
