Traffic Tech

All offices of Traffic Tech are very arrogant especially Mississauga, I do not have a clue what there issues are but I think all of their dispatch staff are under 21 and very imature, We have put them on our dnu list a while back because of their attitudes.

Thanks...We never really had problems with them but we had a shipment devanned at customs with a charge. We have always had brokers pay us back for this as customs has to inspect their customers freight.

But with them we were treated like we were stupid and did not know what we were talking about. And they don't want to pay...they have to investigate!

We work well with all their divisions 90% of the time. There are times that we have issues but no more than the thousands of small brokers popping up out of Ontario every week.

They are simply a customer and have idiosyncrasies that you learn to deal with.
They pay very well Quikpay if you so require or regular payment - and you receive your check in 45 days tops.

Yes there are lots of youngsters, but you just have to tutor them a bit!!

Very well said Alex. Although many may not agree with Traffic Tech's business model, the fact is, they have a very successful one. I believe we as carriers can use this to our advantage. Do a good job and they will call you again and again. Their rates are not much different than any other broker out there., and they do seem to have a lot more freight out there. The best part is, I get my $$$.

once you agree on a rate the only thing that counts is getting paid on time or faster!

;) I have an issue with Gill and Lexie for one shipment Toronto to Montreal. My driver arrived 1 hour late due to traffic and when he arrived at at the shipper they cancelled the load right there. Good job when I asked her who will pay for the cancel fee - she told me that her job was to save money and they didn't care.....

you were late... you missed it...

We are late - ok - good point. But do you think that is the way? To threat a trucking company when everybody arranged for the pick up and they cancelled the shipment when we were on the dock with the shipper?

Lostman, did you notify them that you would be late for appt? If yes and they told you to go then they should pay a cancel fee. If not well you dropped the ball and failed to meet appt time without notification and can't expect a fee.

One of the biggest issues between carrier and broker is communication. If the carrier advises the broker in advance at least the broker can be proactive to the customer. The customer is more likely to work with you to accommodate the late truck if known in advance. This can count as a service failure and jeopardize all the business not just the lane that specific carrier is moving.

Just found out that Johnette from the Dartmouth office gave us a double brokered load from Landstar, then claims in an e-mail, that Landstar is one of their "customers".

Finnerty

Just call landstar and see if it was co-brokered or double brokered. Why landstar would need traffic tech is beyond me though!!!
