what name did he use?
Rudy?

He said Tony, but when I asked him for his name he got very upset and said forget it and hung up. I waited 10 mins and called the number back and asked for Mr.GionFriddo just so I can confirm I was right, and he said speaking so beware of this comany. If you want to block them on the load link it is spelled Bro Alb Express.

Hmmm...doesn't look like many transport yards around there.....maybe hidden in the trees on the left?

The link shows Etobicoke, ON, but when you google them it shows the Toronto office. I even google the phone number and it shows Toronto and also an add of Tony's on Kiijji Selling a Sprinter Van.

How does this guy keep resurfacing?

We sold them a load out of NC 32' but when their driver got there they loaded the trailer full. Well the driver called us and the cheese definately slid off the cracker he threatened our dispatcher and completely lost it. So I got involved and talked to a lady in dispatch who started mouthing off at me so I said unload it immediately, by the time we called the shipper they had reconfigured the load - the driver had already left happy and it delivered on time. So our Carrier sourcing just got a lot more stringent (thought the one we had was a good one but obviously not) so this bill will not be paid for about 90 days minimum (we are always 30).

I remember Bro Alb calling the odd time on postings over the past year or two, wanting crazy money for stuff. I don't think it was Tony though ... I think he bought the carcass of Bro Alb.

If memory serves me correctly (these days I'm not so sure!) Broalb went out/down owing alot of people money too...yes?

Hi. My name is Oltion Cako and I'm the owner of BRO-ALB EXPRESS. We don't have any Tony Gionfrido working for us. We have here Tony Cako in dispatch that works with us and is my brother.

Anyway I didn't understand your point of asking him for his last name. That is first time I've heard that question in 12 years in this business. By the way - why was this persons name and last name so suspicious - just for curiosity?

Regards

O.Cako

Dear Sir of Shandex

Thank you for being honest and telling us here at this place in front of everybody the way that you conduct business by trying to sell F.T.L for 32 feet. I advise you and your team not to work like this in the future.

For the call that was made from my driver to your office, after I did an inquiry with my driver he never placed that call but it was one of the shippers who did. He told me the shipper showed him the e-mail that they placed a order for 52 feet of trailer and that the shipper was sick and tired of your company because you did that to them many times.

And about the payment, don't worry, I can wait even longer.

Thanks
OLTION CAKO
BROALB EXPRESS

@Packrat, for your information I am not a broker and I only receive payments for my work. I have never went out of business and I owe money to nobody.

I have paid hard cash for all my equipment and I keep my drivers happy with my payments. Before you make any comments make sure.

Have a great day.

OLTION CAKO

Dear GRoch,

Oltion, the owner of Bro-Alb Express is writing to you. Regarding the insurance mine has NEVER been cancelled for the last 10 years. Last year was a miss understanding between the broker and the insurance company that I got a prior notice of cancellation. That problem was solved right away. Anyhow, I want to let you know we don't appreciate working with you because you're prices are below our expectations, WAY below. Regards, Oltion Cako

Well Oltion if that's the case then why did you only bill for 32 feet? We seem to still pick up from that customer weekly and have never had a single complaint from them yet they where willing to complain to your driver? Have a nice life, Bill

@lowmiler, We did a great a job for you, with no issues. We billed you according to your confirmation, regardless of the footage. And for your knowledge, we have many customers we have been working with for 12 years and we have never received any complaint as we did our job in a good manner.

You have a nice life too, and stay healthy.

Hi there,

Oltion - You need to understand that this 'Tony' that everyone is talking about really did a lot of very bad things costing a lot of companies a lot of money. It appears as though there could have been a miscommunication and that this Tony does not work at your company?? If he's not there, you really have nothing to worry about. This thread revolved mainly around 'guilty by association' with Tony G... If he is there, I assure you you will lose a fair amount of future business as people avoid him like the plague.

Lowmiler and Oltion - I feel for both of you in this situation (I'm sure we all do). There is nothing worse than freight 'growing' and neither driver nor shipper reporting it to anyone until the truck is too far away to return to the shipper... we've all 'been there' and likey all try and take in all the facts before coming to a fair agreement (did the shipper willingly call in less freight and load more, did they over produce, did they load the wrong load, was there other freight picked up by the driver no one knows about, etc...). Sounds like Oltion did the honourable thing and billed space booked instead of space taken as the driver is ultimately responsible for footage count.

Everyone Else - I know we are all concerned about Tony G (thankfully he only cost us ($) in the 4 digits), it sounds like he may not in fact be employed at Bro Alb...

For the record, we've only had the chance to work with Oltion and Rubi on 3 shipments in the last 4 years. All confirmed on their equipment, all picked up and delivered on time and all communication was up to date. They were Full TL of course, so we never had to discuss 'growing freight'. :)

Keep well,

MikeJr.
