Tier One Transport - 6175 Tomken Road - Mississauga - 905-670-1767

This has been one of the most exhausting accounts ever to collect from. They are in serious financial stress - trying to clean up invoices from months and months ago. Their A/P will never take calls - Stella - so you are pushed to dispatch (most are very rude) and then warehousing - who will give you cheque information. Definitely something wrong when warehousing has more A/P information to pass on than the actual accounting department.

Their U.S. office affiliate - Transgroup Worldwide Logistics - has been no better. Absolutely ridiculous.....

Stay far away from this "operation"...

I have been having the same issues, chq has been issued and no idea when it will be signed or released. i am sending a complaint to link i would encourage you to do the same in hopes it might speed up payment
 
I have been battling these deadbeats for months now. AP is non existant, all dealings go through Adam who is apparantly their Operations Manager/Dispatcher. He spews nothing but lie after lie about issuing cheques.

"There is only one signature on the cheque, I am waiting for the other guy to come in and sign"

"They just went into a meeting, as soon as they come out I will have your cheque for you"

"The owner had a friend come in that he hasn't seen in years, they just went out for lunch and they might not be back, I'll call you"

"We are waiting for the money to come in from head office, that usually comes in on Monday, I'll call you Tuesday at 10:00am"

"Hey, we are looking at getting rid of our drivers, I want YOU to take over all of our dispatching, here is a monthly report of our calls, we are averaging 50-60 calls per day in our 5 trucks, great business for you! I am so glad to have come across you guys, you have great opportunity to make some serious money with this."

Anyone else get the similar BS stories?

I have gone in personally and had the same lies, I have emailed head office, emailed Michael Blackburn, left messages, all are ignored every time. Now when I call in I am put on perma hold.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!
 
We finally received payment for the last invoice at Tier and outstandings from their U.S. office. It took months - from the summer till now - to clean up the account. I can't tell you how exhausting it was to deal with those people.

I was dealing with Michael Blackburn directly. Adam works in the warehouse and cannot do anything about payment. Don't waste your time with him. And don't bother "redirecting" your invoices to their U.S. office - they don't pay any quicker no matter what Adam may tell you....

We started showing up at their office to get the last cheque out of them - they didn't like a "presence" showing up out of nowhere. If you are local GTA - I would suggest doing that.

I don't think they will be around much longer....

I got this email on January 7, so they were to get back to me with their "payment schedule" on January 8. Did they? No.

More lies, more BS.

I sent in someone today (Jan 11) to pick up a cheque, "the guy that writes the cheques is in Vancouver and will be back on Monday", More lies, more BS.

Stay very very clear of these guys, looks like they may be off the Link now, I did a member search for Tier One and TransGroup, turned up nothing. Maybe all the complaints against them are starting to work.
 
I feel for you...I really do....they are exhausting to deal with.

Adam has no authority to give you a pay schedule - he works in the warehouse....went that route with him also. Only when I dealt with Michael did I get any results (still took weeks) and cheques were available.

If he does tell you a cheque will be ready for pickup on a certain day - be mindful that isn't always the case. They don't even have the decency to call/email you on "the day" and tell you the cheque won't be available so you don't waste a trip. You show up on the date and reception tells you "no cheque today" while Michael literally hides in his office.

What I don't understand is how they are able to pay their employees. If I were their reception and had to deal with that on a daily basis - I would be getting my resume dusted off and up to date....

I hope in the end you are able to collect - hang in there....
 
Tier One is a "division" or umbrella company under TransGroup in the U.S. (Seattle)

Both are a waste of time to deal with....
 
Uh oh..... we did a shipment for them in December. Invoiced Seattle direct. I had better keep right on top of this one. I'll let you know what happens

Don't take any excuses from her - she will tell you "you're a new customer and it takes time to setup your account" OR "I don't know why your invoice didn't get processed" etc. She gave me about 3 excuses....

You will have to constantly be on top of her - I think we were paid because I was such a pain with constant calls and emails - I bombarded her on a daily basis and it still took 85 days to be paid.
 
Tier One Transportation

Be careful on this one, the owner has bankrupted 4 companies and now runs under Lyte 2000.
 
So after me calling 6 of their clients, Adam suddenly sends me an email that a cheque will be ready on Monday (today).

We did not expect there to actually be a cheque waiting for us, but shock of all shocks there it was, payment in full! Finally after all these months I can wipe Tier One off my books once and for all! Never will I do any work for these asslugs again.

The kicker?

The cheque was dated Nov. 13, 2009! (Today being January 18, 2010)

These POS's need to be out of business, stay away, very far away from these "people".

Just to let everyone know that we got paid in 19 days from Transgroup Worldwide. The invoice was e-mailed to the Seattle ofc. I found out that the main problem can be with their order/ref #'s some are always paid in US funds & others always paid in CAD funds.
eg REF# STARTING WITH 96-98-16 IS IN CDN FUNDS
REF# STARTING WITH 95-97-15 IS IN USD FUNDS

Is the phone (800) 444-0294 with Ron, Greg & Christine noted as the owners on their credit application?

I was very surprised to read about your quick payment - just want to make sure this is the same company. If it is - maybe they are alot faster paying loads that do not pertain to Tier One.

Not sure about the 800 # AccountsReceiveable, but we took the load for the ofc in 6175 Tomken Road, Mississauga,tel: (905)670-6442 & got paid by the Seattle ofc & earlier in this thread pertaining to Tier One I had seen Transgroup Worldwide mentioned in connection & was a teeny bit worried

I did receive a cheque from them finally. I will never have to worry about chasing these people for money ever again, as I will not do any loads for them, ever.

It took me calling 6 of their clients for them to realize I was serious about getting paid. I guess they thought I was bluffing.

I only bluff in poker.
