Can some one help me with this? If freight is moved from BC to ON, will it HST apply or just GST on the freight charges? I have not done this lane for long time and one of our customer is willing to give us year around freight and i just need to let them know. I did Google search and it does say place of supply rate applies. Just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance.

The following bulletins kinda sorta defines everything you need to know.

It would depend on where the sale takes place or in other words the INCO terms of the invoice. If it is destined for Ontario and sold at a delivered price I believe you should charge 13% HST. Whichever way it is done, both you and your customer will document the value on your HST returns.

Thanks Jim.
