Taj Group

The trucking department picked up a load during the Christmas holidays and I have concerns it was double-brokered.

***Driver must ID themselves as Taj Group or you will be refused loading***

They double brokered a load for me today. Just found out between pickups that someone else is moving the freight. Caught it in time to work with the carrier direct...

smells like what, intermodal rate that will be used for a OTR requested load, with a intermodal rate quoted? or like a $0.50 a mile rate that screams I'm getting screwed when the freight goes missing and I should have known better?
 
How did it go with the double brokered shipments? Did it cause an issue on the payment end?
 
We used ended up using them. No issues with the shipment, but the truck that showed up to pickup the freight was from Range Freightways. I confirmed with RF to be sure, and was told they were doing the local portion of the load and taking it to a cross dock facility. From there I have no idea who did the final leg but RF was confident in saying they didn't have any issues with TAJ. And nothing has come back to me since.
