Can anyone point me to a carrier who runs a 48' or 53' tailgate trailer into NYC?

Try one of the Zavitz family companies GZavitz, Kam, etc as they all run that way but not sure about the TG.

I use Just on Time for GTA to east coast USA. For NYC they usually send a 5-ton, they do have trailers but I don't know if they have tailgates

receivership at a key shipper can do that to you if there isn't an active backup plan. In this case, they had a lot of business based on using the Holland Landing origin as the key to a lot of their outbound ltl loads, so when they went into receivership it was a pretty significant move

Didn't realize Inscape went down. Pretty big too. But they were doing all the NYC area and stuff for Teknion for like 30 years for sure.

Yes, Inscape went into receivership in January I believe...
