Synergy Transportation

My question about Synergy has turned into a Polaris love in...lol

I agree on Aberstar. They are a good carrier.

I heard rumours about Synergy back soliciting. It looks like there is some truth to it.

Aberster is owned by the kennedy transportation the crooks
chad johnson is his step son. Way to go and support them so they can screw the inocent.

As for polaris i believe that's there employees have to blow there own horn! They are not all that

Good luck to anyone that ever has a freight claim with Aberstar.. they will not pay it. They will not return calls or correspondence.

They're a bottom feeder that take advantage (with Kennedy) of honest hardworking people trying to get into transportation.

I don't work for Polaris but will say they among the best of the best. I would hate to be in direct competition with them. They have their act together..

Where is this thread going

this thread started out with synergy transportation now its going into aberstar and polaris. keep on one topic!

Synergy are on DNU at a couple companies for service reasons. Nice people when they want your freight, horrible if they are paying you. Don't let you know if there's a problem with freight and will arbitrarily bond stuff before they give you an opportunity to fix it...then you find out it didn't need to be bonded. Service transit time matrix not as predictable as Polaris.

Agreed about Polaris. Rates are competitive mostly and they will tell you when stuff isn't going to go right. I like the email notifications, even for bond alerts!! Very cool! Their customs control department is awesome. Can't say a bad thing about those people...and they'll tell you if the agent who picks up for them will cause a transit time issue.

As a side note, Midland Transport's US LTL division is better if you have skids that are less than 1000 lbs and class 100 or less, from a rate standpoint. Vitran will cut you deals but the base discount level if you start out with them is kind of lousy, it's like 65% when the rest of the world gets 80-85% off full tariff to be fully competitive (based on volume.)

God, it's going on 48 hours since being laid off and I miss crunching numbers already!! ha ha

Aberstar used to be a dirty word at one company, right up there with BREST Transportation.

I miss the days when Axis Freight was around. They used to do a great job when both Polaris and Synergy couldn't do it. AMA is the only other company I know of that more or less services most of the same areas in the Great Lakes states that both Polaris and Synergy do and they do an equal or better job, no nonsense and straight up nice people. I trust them with freight outbound and inbound any day of the week and recommend them to anyone. TDS is another one that is an awesome carrier.

Big mess with Axis - Rodney owned it but told everyone their sales guy Mark was the owner. Anyways months prior to his closure and seizure of assets - Rodney had all business affairs changed over to either his wife or a relative's name. He collected as many payments as possible and paid no one - no driver payroll either. When he failed to provide a large cheque to us which he had promised a month before - our sales rep drove over to their yard. He was met by a repo guy and quite a few drivers - all locked out of the building. Rodney had split and did not inform anyone of the closure "during the night" apparently.

I heard later on he opened a garage in Barrie - under his wife's name - and decided to give it a go owing a mechanic shop. Never got the name of it - wouldn't take my car there for a washer fluid top up!!!

So yes - very interesting being on the "other side" of things...
