They called me on a load I had posted last week. They wanted $400 more than I have ever been asked to pay on it. I checked them on the Safer website and they have one truck and one driver. I told him that I can't give him the freight because they only have one truck and that I suspected he was going to double-broker it. He said they don't do that and the one truck, "Yeah, that's the money maker!" I told him that he need not bother calling me on any of my posted loads. So far he is living up to his part of the bargain.

Ask yourself, what are the odds that this guy has his one lonely truck right near my load?

My suggestion is pass on their services.
 
Well we made the mistake recently of giving these guys a shipment. We did some reference checks but clearly not enough. Even Caneda said these guys were ok. Anyway missed Friday pick up on Jul 28th went to wrong location so they said for a shipment from Wicsonsin to Saskatoon. Finally did pick up on Monday Aug 1 still not in Saskatoon on Aug 5th. They had promised the 4th. Aug 5th and they can not tell me where the truck is, pars number provided is not in use, telling me that for certain goods will deliver on Aug 6th but again won't tell me where the truck is. They insist it's not brokered but I doubt that. I will update this thread when I finally receive goods. They are now on our DNU list.
 
We had a smiliar situation. I was on holidays and no one checked out this company. They were over a week late on delivery, rarely answered the phone-quite a nightmare to come back to...Crazy part is that it was a "Streamline" truck that delivered the freight (security at consignee logged this info). Pars is still being checked out.
Hopefully your nightmare is almost over, Packrule!
 
Hopefully soon, being a Canadian 3rd party I typically try to stay away from Chicago based carriers they seem to all be pretty unethical. I hate to lump them all in together but it's what we've come across. Always very thick russian accents. We'll see I hope it left Chicago probably just left yesterday. Will keep you all updated for certain.

I have to admit that I got a bad feeling as soon as I answered the phone. It probably didn't help them that when I asked them to send their insurance and authority it came through my fax machine a dozen times.

Every time I get a call from a carrier that I've never heard of I ask for authorities so I can check them out at the FMCSA website. Streamline didn't cut the mustard with their 1 truck. I never have a problem using my gut feeling along with references.
 
Ok well to update our shipment the truck finally arrived in S'toon on Monday Aug 8th at 1:15 AM. We unloaded at 6:00 AM and the driver advised that he had only left Chicago on Saturday morning go figure. So Streamline paid an agent to pick up the freight in Wisconsin, holds it for an entire week and then shiped it up here. The truck was a Streamline truck and the trailer was as loaded. Freight was in ok order other then having other product stacked on it.

Ace the dispatcher there was my contact. I talked to him after delivery and advised that we'll be looking for a rather substantial discount at which time he stated the goods actually took more room! And then still stuck with his story that they were at the border and broke down. Some folks never learn and actually prefer to lie rather then provide the truth.

Well you live and learn now Streamline Transport Solutions is on the DNU list.

Hello Diet Coke and Packrule. I am the claims & collections manager for Streamline Transport and as well, the wife of the Owner. First, I would like to reply to a few things that have been said. First, the nationality of the people here is not an "issue" on your load and should not be a focus in this forum. I, myself, am American...born and raised. My husband, the owner, is Serbian, but is an American Citizen for about 20 years. While we employ a good deal of Serbian drivers....not RUSSIAN as you imply, this has nothing to do with our work or work ethic...so lets leave nationality out of this.

Second, we strive to deliver our loads in a timely manner and in good shape, same as we pick it up. I am not hearing anything about a claim from either of you, just a late delivery. For that, we sincerely apologize however; there are circumstances that can delay a shipment. To just blatantly call us liars is quite slanderous. I would stay away from those kinds of actions. Furthermore, stating that Chicago Carriers are "unethical" is a ridiculous and extremely slanderous statement. I cannot believe that this website allows you to brand carriers in that manner. You have probably never actually driven a truck and probably have no real "street" experience based on the kinds of things you are saying.

Furthermore, we make updates to FMCSA and there is nothing bad out there on us. Check it out before you slander us.

Finally, we do work with Caneda on a regular basis and, as you said yourself, Caneda has nothing bad to say about us. We have delivered their freight on time and in one piece. Maybe you should stop listening to your "gut feelings" and listen to a bigger company like Caneda. As I review the many threads on here, like most responsible carriers do, I see you must have a lot of time on your hands to be complaining non-stop about all of these carriers. Perhaps you might try standing behind and working with some of these carriers instead of spending all of your time on this computer spreading rumors that bring carriers down and out of business for no really good reason.

thank you for your time in reading this post. I hope it will give you an insight into the actual "people" involved with these carriers and stop treating us all like the plague.....without motor carrier and drivers you would not have any work.
 
Well unfortunately people here did not do due diligence on this carrier and we tendered them a shipment, I emailed Anna as well for explanation to their lies and server service failure with no reply......................DNU now! Picked up in Chicago on 08-13 with ETA of 08-17,20,21,23..................finally yesterday delivered in Delta BC.

was it LTL?
 
on LTL it is basically outbound for them, so it is a little normal that they wait to have a full or close to full trailer before leaving, but the transit time was a bit exagerated.

So that transit time would be OK with you and your customers???? Not really sure what your comment is about unless this is one of your carriers. Load 13th told will delivery by Friday NO issue............delivered on the 28th think there is an issue.
 
..............and they haven't changed. I used them on a load that picked up last Tuesday in Lake Zurich, IL and was to deliver Wednesday. Come Wednesday, I was told one of their dispatcher had "accidentally" thrown away the second page of my load tender as there was a second pick. They delivered the first pick into Winnipeg Wednesday and didn't end up getting the second until Friday. Fast forward to this morning when I spoke to Nick and was told he would see where the truck was at and call me back.........that was five hours ago. We have called several times, and left voicemails.....and yes even been hung up on.

Next call will be reporting the freight stolen. Tired of POS carriers like this. We pay good rates and fight to keep our carriers happy. It was my mistake to put these guys on a load without checking them out (haven't done that for about five years). I saw Anna's response and had to laugh.....what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I have used streamline 2-3 times in 2012 and had no issue maybe one minor delay that was during new years period.
