Has anyone every had issues with Stream Logistics for their bonded charges? My carrier dropped off 5 skids on Friday that were in bond and they are charging us

$140.00 bond + $280.00 handle + $1400.00 storage = $1820.00

Anyone else ever had this problem for only 5 skids and 2 business days?

I am actually communication directly with Stream and they wont relase the skids to us unless the fee is paid before

When I confronted them about the charges this was the Reply from Stream

This shipment was dropped on our dock not left on the trailer our rates work differently when it's dropped on our dock .

We charge $4.00 per hundred weight the shipment is 7000 lbs our handle rate is $280.00 just to drop and our storage fee rate at the same amount per day . the fee's today are larger that when the first email was sent today charges are

$140.00 bond + $280.00 handle + $1400.00 storage = $1820.00

Par for the course. They bill the same ways for the devanning service that they provide for Canada Customs

Busy place, most carriers will bond to Dixie since it is close to their terminals. They charge what they do, because they can. Most carriers don't know the rates or call first to ask, so they don't have much recourse other than to remanifest it somewhere else cheaper and move the load. Once its on their dock its theirs to charge whatever they want.
Their rates were always high back in the days when it was owned by CF (and Direct before that). TransForce took the rates to a whole new level.
