SteadFast Logistics owes me $$$
Has anyone got any info on how to get ahold of Steadfast? The phone # 514-782-0500 is disconnected... Diane is not responding to emails and they owe me a total of $ 1325.00 on three invoices! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Has anyone got a personal telephone or home address for this Diane?

They owe us as well, i was at their location in december, noone there and noone has seen them. They are not returning calls and as you say phones disconnected

I took a 30000$ hit with Steadfast, I was dealing with this company for several years on a dedicated lane and the volume was significant (for me anyway). There were signs that things were not going well towards the end . I just learned last week that Jack, Clifford and Diane are living a lifestyle of luxury from money owed to us and many others. Jack drives a bran new Hummer and one of them owns a beautiful Yatch at an "exclusif" Montreal club. A few months before going under, they threw a lavish party during the week and closed down for one day. We couldnt help but wonder but continued to do business with Steadfast.
Roubina, Jack, Clifford have dissapeared from the face of the earth but last time I checked Canada still has laws to protect us from such criminals. And Bobby has gone elsewhere with his accounts.
I have hired a lawyer to file criminal charges against these people and I would like to know if anyone else has any information to share with this issue. Would anyone like to join me with these procedings?

I had the same situation with Chris Yaun.
I do not think your Lawyer is required regarding the criminal charges. You should be able to put the case together yourself, and present it to your local police. The jurisdiction will then decide to work on it or transfer it to another jurisdiction. If the case has merit, the police force will get the provincial prosecuting attorney involved. In that case you and your firm will be a material witness and have no more to do with the prosecution.
What is imperative is that your Lawyer, pursue a civil case in parrallel with the criminal case. You have a statute of limitations of 3 years in Quebec to do so, thesooner you get going the safer you are.
The burden of proof required for a criminal conviction is much greater than what is required for a civil case. In essence, if they are proven guilty of fraud. The civil case is easier and cheaper to bring to fruition.
What is important is that your Lawyer look into what assets of the party can be seized. Do not forget that in the case of fraud, the corporate vail can be lifted and you can go after the personal assets of the directors.

I contacted the Inspecteur Commission des transports du Québec, who in turn contacted the Contrôle routier Québec for further investigation. This was in mid January. I was asked to fax them information - I have not heard back from them.
I sent registered mail to Diana's home address in Rigaud and Clifford's address in Dorion - both were unclaimed and returned to me.
I may send a registered 'demand letter' to Suzanned Gazaille (proxyholder).
The sign on the side of her building says 'Avocate...Mediation Familiale'

There are people from Steadfast at Journey now, and after all that they pulled, some of the same customers are using them knowing what they had done to the truckers.
I also think there was some connection to Real Transport. Is this possible? I had seen paperwork at a customer with both names on a confirmation. I guess its possible they screwed Real too...

It is proper procedure for a shipper to put the actual carrier's name on the BOL when the load is going through a 3PL. Real Transport used to be one of our favorite Montreal based truckers, but we had to cut them off about 2 years ago when they started BS'ing when deliveries were late (the usual 'driver is over his log hours' and 'pulled over by the DOT'...these things happen, but you can tell when its just BS). Please PM me with who from Steadfast/formerly RTD is now at Journey. I will let our dispatch know to keep an eye out since we work with Journey regularely. I dont want any part of Steadfast's BS or give them any of our services, they don't deserve it after what they have been pulling the past few years. Thanks for the post.
