Hi there Bigt,

There is already a thread on Starship if you do a search you'll find older info from other members, note that there is also some interesting comments about the equipment we sold off many years ago as they had quite a nice paint job.

Short version: we're in our 23rd year and all is well. Typically we are in the 60 day range, I know 30 is much better and we are working towards that (the sooner the better for our partners!).

Call me direct if you ever have any issues:

Dealing with Mike Jr we have not had any issues for payment since we started dealing with them over the last year.

We find their staff very friendly and fair to work with. We haven't had any problems over payment and if there is ever an issue with their freight (one time a customer was trying to load more freight than we had originally agreed upon) they got on it right away to resolve.

Below Average

I very seldom have negative responses to carriers, although I have one at the moment.

Had a few skids that were scheduled to deliver at a consignee. Got to the consignee and it is a bitch of a place to back up. Driver blocks 75%of the street. Takes 20 minutes to back up and get in place. The consignee can now not unload because they have freight blocking the doors. There are but five skids. It is now lunchtime and they request we wait one hour and 15 minutes before they unload. This requires getting back out of the pit of a dock (naturally since we are blocking the traffic flow on the street).

There are 3 other deliveries on the truck and a pick up to carry out. We decide to have the freight re delivered to another carrier's dock 100yards away and pay around $200.00 for the privilege of a next day am delivery.

Starship is kept informed all along the process. We as a carrier have fully honored our comittement. All they have left to do is pay in 30 days as agreed. Freight was picked up August 27th. Apparently after several e-mails and calls the check was mailed out last Friday, we are now at 6 days and still no check!
