I agree he knows the business and yes his posts are very helpful, I'm not disputing that. I feel that a carrier should be paid with a reasonable time frame for the service's they provide.

I know and understand that all too well...we're a carrier. All I'm saying is we ''know'' Mikejr, why not ASK him if he can help?

We have customers that pay us in 120 days....but it was agreed upon and we charge accordingly.

This brings me to another point....billing: We bill 24 hours AT THE MOST after the load is done. We find that this is very effective as terms and agreements are still fresh in the people involved's mind.
We sometimes give out freight to other carriers on lanes we do not service and it takes forever and a day to get the POD and invoice. Is it possible that some people complaining about non-paying brokers are a little slow at invoicing??? (I'm not pointing at anybody here, just spitballing) The delay to pay is from the day the invoice is received, right??

The ball starts rolling from the date the POD is received. If you want to wait a month to send the POD than your getting paid in 2 months.

Exactly! How can anyone process an invoice they haven't yet received?
Fax it, e-mail it, courier it, but get the damn thing out your door and into the hands of the people that can write the cheque. Once they have it, and they take longer than your agreed terms to pay it, do whatever you have to, including "outing" them on this site.

I agree we also bill out 24 hours after, and yes the small amount freight we sell off, it does take forever to get an invoice. I'm just telling it from our past dealings.

I've read over all these posts. Once again - MikeJr handles all replies regarding Starship with class and does not get his back up.

So I'll get my back up for him....

crgirl - the next time you wish to post regarding payment terms and any issues you are having - especially when it will be directed to a Senior paying member on this forum - utilize the PM tool first. You are fully aware who MikeJr is on this forum and that he is employed by Starship - as an employee - NOT an owner - NOT someone with signing authority. Your post - successfully - ticked off other members (including myself) and going forward your information will be less valued because of your actions.

Lesson to be learned here - think first before posting any information on this forum.

Pay The Rates - you are next....

"Piping" in your 2 cents was irrelevant information. If Starship was on your DNU list for whatever reason - fine - no change. Your post - if intended - was to "gang up" on the other posts - you failed in that regard. You currently are not owed any monies from this particular company are you? Do you have some other issue with Starship that you would like to take up with MikeJr? I will assume no...therefore please refrain from future posts that have a sort of "yea...I say what he said" tone.

And on another note - I know 1 of you who replied here has credit issues of their own...I would not be blasting someone else about the "tidiness" of their house - when their own home looks like it blew out of the sky and landed on the Wicked Witch of the West....

My 10 cents....which doesn't happen very often....

I've been working with Starship for many years and their payment terms only get better. Contact MikeJR via email and you will get a timely response. As long as he's there he will help out with any discrepancies and you will get paid (speaking from my own experience).

I will continue to do business with them. Not everyone pays on time but as long as you have someone who is honest and gets you answers then you should decide how to proceed on future shipments. At the end - we all need each other to prosper and succeed but we also have a choice of who to work with.

My two cents
