I booked a hot load with them today; after advising the customer that they were going in for the load, they called back to say that they wouldn't pick up the load unless I paid more. I paid what they wanted and they were late! Has anyone else experience this type of service from these guys?

Did exactly the same thing to us a month ago or so. Load was a late nite pick up and their dispatch confirmed pick up. In the morning, load was picked up and got the same story you did.

We put them on the do not use list.

Seems their dispatch books the loads and then the credit guys get involved and mess it all up

Interesting St. Lambert is a Transforce company and when you go on the Transforce web site they are not on the carrier side but the logistical services so are they also double brokering? Aslo when the bean counters are running the company watch out.

Suprisingly it is their own truck, as i requested the PARS# and checked with a contact I have at the custom broker to see who the trucking company was as I was concerned about them double brokering the load. To make matters worse customs wanted to unload the truck for inspection - they wanted to charge $300 for the first hour then additional $150/hr after the first hour. Interport Charges $197.88 then $64.56/hr after the first hour. When confronted about this and told I would only pay on the Interport receipt their rates changed to what Interport charges. This is a company that makes shylocks look like saints - as crooked as a mountain highway in Peru!!!! Guess who just made my "DO NOT USE" list

Godfather - I certainly don't intend to make fun of your unfortunate situation here but what a laugh I had eating my lunch and reading "as crooked as a mountain highway in Peru!!!!".

That pretty much sums it up - fabulous choice of wording... - hats off to you...

Thanks :p
