FYI, this company is booking loads and double brokering loads from unsuspecting US brokers for more money.

We were lucky that the shipper would not load us because our MC number did not match what the original broker said it was. This time it worked out for us and we won't have to chase these guys.

yes we did one load. and now no answer from them. scumsss

We were the one of the carriers whom they also brokered the load too (SRSB Transportation)
Found out that they brokered it from Longhaul in Ontario
and sold it to us for more than what they got paid for the load. Longhaul also paid SRSB for this service
SRSB asked us to help them, as their equipment was broken down in GA and they needed help moving this shipment from GA to QC
We work with a factoring company. SRSB had a low credit with our factoring company to which they already had one invoice pending for 15 days for another carrier, so we were refused a credit approval on them.
When we spoke to SRSB about this they very smartly went ahead and spoke to the factoring company and to clear their credit, dropped TWO post dated cheque for our contracted amount and other carrier at the factoring company's office in Mississauga, ON the same day
They have apparent another branch in Brampton, ON
We picked the shipment for them from GA and safely delivered it to the consignee in QC
To our surprise, Well once delivered the check got NSF.
After that continuously there is No respond to any communication via email or phone (their phone system is not in function too)
But again they are still an authorised transport company and working with different brokers and getting paid for the jobs that they are double brokering
Not only that they are double brokering but writing out fraud checks for payment so BE AWARE!!
We got burnt but more than that it's frustrating to see that SRSB Transporation is still in business and scamming other carriers like us who are doing righteous work

I think the original broker should do better job verifying the carriers they tender load out to. This is BS. They like to wash their hands as long as they get their load delivered. File a suit against them tooo.

Thank you for your help
Checked the two companies which he opened in 2021 SR CARGO WORLD INC. and 12843285 Canada Inc they were dissolved and these are Ghost offices too
Worst part is this that companies like this are nuisance to the industry of Transportation and some brokers in Ontario are still working with him and providing him work to run his SCAM.
These load brokers don't care like 'LONGHAUL' in Ontario who is still working with them and giving them business to scam other carriers

I also came to know that this individual Shampy Sidhu is opening or going to start running a dispatching company under his existing companies, where he is going to work with many carriers under his "UMBRELLA" using their MC and DOT numbers and providing them business through him.
So he is expanding his business and capacity of the units to service these LOAD BROKERS working with him

SRSB Transportation is a SCAM company which this Shampy Sidhu is running along with other companies under him

Noticed on one of his corporate filings, the name is Rampy Sidhu. Amazing how they can always find a relative to use their residential address as his company's head office. Doubt if he has ever been to Alberta.
Once he actually called me from a 705 area code, but could not locate an address for Shampy (lots of Sidhu-s) . Will try again as Rampy and let you know.

Yup. Brokers and co-brokers help each other scam companies. Then they split the profits. The main broker says we paid out to co broker and wash their hands off. Which is BS. Has to be better regulation otherwise these scums of the earth will keep growing. It has multiplied

Longhaul here.... we did our due diligence with SRSB...authorities, insurance, safety record all checked out.. Service and communications were great. We had no idea he had brokered the loads. He even had carriers clear under his pars #.
We DO NOT USE THEM anymore. Donna took load from him AFTER her factoring company told her they had bad credit! She then took post dated cheques that were not honored...big surprise. Don't come on here slandering us for your poor business practices.
Don't take loads from carriers or brokers without doing a credit check!

Great point, but that still does not release you of any liability. Due diligence on the carriers part is unfortunately optional, in the case they are not paid for services rendered you the broker and the shipper are on the hook. Hate the game, not the player.

Longhaul, you should probably watch yourself throwing around "poor business practices" when you own vetting process didn't weed out a scam brokerage company. I have no skin in this one way or the other, but I don' think trying to throw the carrier under the bus is the way to to go here. I would probably recommend connecting with them, making a settlement offer on the freight charges, and clean it up. I doubt you want the carrier calling your customer, as that is bound to happen unless they get paid.

Why it's the truth...she implied in her thread that we were in "business" with them.
We did our due diligence with regards to insurance, authorities and safety record.
If you take a load from a shipper, broker or carrier without doing proper credit check that's your fault not mine!
I don't take loads from other carriers or brokers we work directly for our clients only and we make sure they have good credit.

Show me the law. Carrier with carrier authority acting as a broker.

This is where you are wrong. It is your fault, you are as guilty in this situation as they are. You need to make sure who you are giving out your loads to, safety record and insurance isn't everything, if they are double brokering your freight you have gone wrong somewhere. Look up the BOL act, I'm not going to sit here and argue back and forth with you about the law. You and your customer and their lawyers will find out great details about transport law once the carrier comes knocking for their payment. Many here can attest to this.
