Beware of SR Cargo World!

We booked them on a load back in April 2023, not only did they run over the customer's sign, but we've been chasing them down since April for the POD - today we found out that the carrier that they double brokered the load to sent our client a collections notice after we had made many many attempts to get the POD from the original carrier. I assumed the load was double brokered because we've heard radio silence, but I finally got a copy of the collections notice and found "driver must ID as SR Cargo World at ALL times"

Just tried to call / email to follow up ... number disconnected / email bounced back..hmm wonder why??

Thank GOD we didn't end up paying them and can pay the carrier who hauled the load directly.

But why carriers accept to ID themselves to the name of another companie?? Is it not super big red flag??
It is.

But if you get a new dispatcher who is under pressure to get a driver moving... You ignore a lot of flags, because it gets your driver moving + not your job to worry about getting paid. That's the mentality.

Seasoned guys would never accept this load, unless there was a legit reason to identify as another carrier. Picking up a load trailer for example that is registered under XYZ carrier in the yard.

We tell our drivers to let the shipper know picking up on behalf of which ever company gave us the load.

It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Something like, “I am here to pick up order #1234 on behalf of ABC company”. We don’t ask carriers to identify themselves as employees of our company.

Through an IP domain search, Rampy Sidhu is common to both ATW Logistics (2470536 Albarta Inc) and SR Cargo World.

i've been trying to expose this as this request does not receive the attention it should have. I would not touch a load as a carrier if you must identify as someone else. This is something from the 90's anyways. Carriers, don't do this and you'll solve 80% of your problems. Do your credit check as well.
