So booked 2 loads with 2 different carriers on a Wed. Lacolle Pq to Brampton On. Load Friday 1pm, load one delivers at 8am load 2 delivers at 10am Monday crane and crew. All these details specified on Wed. Truck 1 was a little late to pick up so they decided to load truck 2 with load one (8am del) We however were unaware of this until after the fact. We asked truck 2 to send a copy of BOL once loaded and were asked why. I asked is this a problem? The answer I received was "its kinda late in the day and we are in the juice". Very professional!. So truck one (from Ontario got loaded with the later delivery and truck 2 with the earlier del. We informed truck 2 they would now have to deliver 2 hrs earlier. Oh well then we will need another $500. That's only $250 an hr! Why would you need $500 for 2hrs? We pay our drivers $300 if they have to leave on Sunday and we need $200 for the truck to run over night. I hope you would be leaving Sunday anyway for a crane appointment in Brampton. They have us in a bad spot Friday afternoon at 4.30pm. We send a revised for the extra $500. Monday 8am , can you confirm your truck is on site? No he is in Oshawa in traffic there was a traffic accident earlier in Kingston so he is in traffic now. I thought he was leaving Sunday? He did and stayed in Kingston. So we paid you $500 to go 3 hrs on Sunday and you still didn't make the crane appointment!!. Needless to say after the delivery was finally done we had words, no extra $500 and won't be using again.

don't be shy let us know who it is lol everything comes down to the money but 08.00 am and 10.00 am wouldn't make a difference. Truck should have been there Sunday night to offload Monday and get a reload to come back with, Or maybe I'm doing trucking wrong.

Anything involving a crane we pay extra to have the truck arrive the night before and sleep onsite if possible plus we use Macropont or Trucker Tools. If we know the carrier well we will use their tracking link. This is negotiated when booking the truck so there are no surprises. Truckers often agree to this then do what they want but that is a separate issue as the terms are well know in advance.

They gave us the original rate knowing exactly what was expected.

That is unfortunate and it sounds like you had to pay under duress to meet the delivery times. It is too bad that you could not meet the truck onsite and show the driver emails outlining the additional $300 they should be getting to depart on Sunday.

As I said above Truckers often agree to this then do what they want. All you can do is put them on the DNU

Screamed at my track and trace lady for absolutely no reason what so ever, haven't used since 2020. Called us in 2022 said the going rate to MTL was $3000 and started screaming at me about the cost of groceries of all things. I don't have time for that, you don't like my rate fine, even a snide remark no problem but Mark is unhinged tbh. DNU for us.

Another company that takes freight and delivers it "whenever". Only one email address used for all dispatch. No one signs their name on the emails which allows them to point fingers at the other dispatcher.
