Hello. Can anyone assist with trying to collect payment from Sobeys or is this even a possibility? We have been fighting for a year now to collect payment on a load that was double brokered and we were the Carrier who actually completed the shipment. We put VIJ LDH into collections (that is who we got the load from) and they got the load from a Broker. We have billed the broker for the freight invoice and we are not getting paid by the broker either. Sobeys requested we remove them out of the email chain? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. In the end Sobeys is actually liable for the invoice under the BOL act. Maybe remind them of that fact and they may go after the BROKER.
The problem with someone like Sobey's is they are aware of the law but to enforce it, it's going to cost you more than that invoice is worth and they know it.
As someone else suggested, going after the original broker might be an easier target.

Really only worth it if you have a significant amount owing, but I'm curious if you can also demand legal fees if you provide enough notice to them. @SCAM CHASER would you have any insight on this?
