Does anyone have any experiences with a company named SMG Logistics? We did a couple of loads for them last month, and I have a strange vibe about this company. They operate out of 7720 Kimbel St in Mississauga, from the same address as B&G Transport. I called them to inquire about this and was told that the father was the owner of B&G Logistics and now the son has taken over the business as SMG Logistics. I just want to know if i will get paid for the work. Any info would be helpful, thanks!

Had one invoice with SMG last Fall - took 70 days to pay on a small amount. I too was skeptical so just removed both companies from our system never to use again - they seemed to flip flop as to what company name they were using.

I didn't know B&G officially went bankrupt - when did that happen?
 
I had called them to inquire about the B&G/ SMG confusion as they are both from the same address and was told by SMG that B&G had gone bankrupt September 09. I dont know if it was official, but they are no longer around.

I got a funny vibe too, we used them a few weeks ago to go to BC and it wasn't strange that they used Warren to pu freight and return to their dock but when Warren was delivering carrier that was odd. Warren wouldn't talk about it so I hope they got paid. Sounds like I booked load with SMG, Warren hauled to BC and dropped off for someone else to make final delivery. Everything arrived safe and sound but still all fit kind of fishy. They also factored invoice so they got their $$ fast. Like I said I hope the trucker who hauled it got paid. I tried to talk to them about it but they were unreceptive
 
Funny...they should know when they went under....link shows them connecting last in November 10, 2009. I say a B+G trailer going down the 400 last week but couldn't see the power unit so don't know who was hauling it. I know B+G was a carrier but they were double brokering freight for years. We cut them off June 08 for double brokering and lying through their teeth about it...paperwork had been faxed from company to company as many as 3 times with the last shipment. I know Sunny left and started Grace logistics because he and Gill apparently had "problems" but then I heard that B+G was running freight through Grace....be careful doing business with any of these companies would be my advice!
 
Guess what? Now theyve disappeared. Havent paid our invoice and no answer when we call them:mad:

Bunch of scammers...guess we're gonna have to deal with it our way
