I had a shipment posted this afternoon for 10 skids from Toronto to TN.
I get a call from a girl there. Basically goes like so:
Them: "I'm calling for the uhhhh the shipment uhhh from Toronto to uhhhh..."
Me: "you mean the 10 skids going to Memphis?"
Them: "Yes"
Me: "Well it's 10 skids pickup tomorrow and deliver either Friday or Monday. 15,000 lbs"
Them: "Is it okay if delivers Tuesday or Wednesday?"
Me: "Tuesday or Wednesday is too late. You cannot deliver on Monday?"
Them: "Let me check. What was the weight again?"
Me: "15,000 lbs"
Them: "That's like almost a truckload right?"
Me: "Nope not even half a load"
Them: "oh okay so half a load. What is the weight again?"
Me: "Sorry the shipment is booked. Thanks for calling"
This must have been the most unprofessional call I have received for booking a load. Didn't know why she was calling, when her truck was leaving, how many skids fit in a truck and forgot the weight after being told 3 times. Do they not train people before they put them into dispatch? :s
