SJM CARRIERS - Double Brokering & Not Paying

Can you advise the origin and destination cities/province/state that this occurred please. We use the on occasion as well, so want to double back and look into it. Thanks

If you matched your load with this carrier using LoadLink please send the details to complaints@loadlink.ca for them to follow up. They have been taking a more active role in dealing with these characters.

It may be a game a whack a mole but the more information that Loadlink has the better the chance these guys get bumped off and have to regroup.

Shipment was from Richmond Hill ON to Montreal QC
 
Does QC mean Quit Complaining? Unless it is a well known Broker or Carrier based in Quebec, you should never use them. It is almost impossible to pursue them through the Quebec legal system plus Quebec has it in the civil code that if a shipper shows that they paid someone the freight charges, they don't have to pay twice.

Well shame on us- were in a jam last Friday trying to cover 2 last minute loads to MTL and did not do our diligence with SJM. Had them in our system for a few loads in 2022 with no incident. Not the same result this time. Load # 2 just delivered today 6 days after pick up. Worst experience with a carrier since Bell & Bob Transport. Not sure how they are in business. But again, its on us for tendering the load without checking on them here. That said, they operate with total disregard. Jasleen is a peach. Paid a premium for 6am delivery one load 1- delivered 30 hours later. Not a care in the world - never answered their phones. We were in the twiglight zone with them and the 2 loads. Very unsettling. Thoughts and prayers to anyone who tenders their loads to SJM in the future.
