Selling your big rig at a USA auction

I know that there are certain things one must do to import a vehicle from the US to Canada, especially a used vehicle. So, I would assume that there are a similar number of hurdles to overcome going the other way. Would any increase in value be off set after complying with those required steps, and in spite of the exchange benefit? Just thinking out loud on this.

Not hard to do there is a form to fill out.( I can find out the form number if you really want it) The problem is the auction house will probably charge 8-25% commission to sell it and it goes for what it goes for.
I just spent a week at the equipment auctions in Florida and prices are off 10-25% across the board on all types ,of equipment from a generator to a highway tractor. The sale I was at was a 9 day sale over 9000 pieces and when we had dinner the last day of the sale the numbers I quoted where right out of the owner of the sales mouth.
Yoder and Frey and Ritchie Bros, are expecting the same as other than the Americans there are no out of country buyers. The US dollar is too strong. Iron Planet/Cat Auctions rep sang a different tune but I tend to believe what I saw and the gentleman that quoted the numbers.
I think you would have better luck with truck paper.com or a Canadian auction that are drawing US buyers like flies.
Now a pick up truck on the other hand those are out of this world on prices.

i think numbers are way down we have 5 day cabs that we want to move and there does not seem to be too much interest before price is even mentioned.
