Did a load for us, picked up and delivered ok.

When he found out it was a regular run, he called our customer and offered him his services.

Our customer said no thanks, I am satisfied with the comany I am dealing with. Sculnick then sent him a rate saying he could have it for his records.

Shulnick

Do you have anything on your load sheet regarding back solicitation??
ie: will result in non payment

I spoke to him. He denies it but my customer sent me the email.

When I told him this, he kept saying that they did nothing wrong

Sculnick - more info?

What is Sculnick's phone number? Are they on Link? I tried to find them to disable in our system, but they are not coming up.

LOL I wouldn't use them if they were the last trucking company on earth. I would rather send the freight by horse and buggy than use them. Them and Maisliner...

Maisliner

I worked for Mailsiner back in the late 90's and often lunched with Ryan Maislin. He was just a young whipper snapper back then but a good salesman with lots of energy and enthusiasm.

Either on our way to or back from lunch we would spot a common carrier or a large local carrier and look where he was picking up or delivering.
Ryan would often run in and drop a card.
This led to some problems because that shipper / receiver may also have been a client of another broker that gave Maisliner some freight.

I would love to have him working for me !!

It's a dog eat dog world, and regular runs are an invite to back solicitation. Best way to keep the shipper is to offer a diversity of services that is hard to duplicate by an asset based entity unless he also brokers.
