Scotlynn?

DNU'd here for double brokering.

Gave a load to a "owner op" that was hauling a Scotlynn trailer.

When they arrived at the pick up, shipper gets drivers info / mc number etc. Looked up the MC and it was 50 truck operation. They stuck with their story of owner op but couldn't provide any contract nothing.

To be fair, the driver did have a Scotlynn trailer but still double brokering.

Can we trust SG Capital? For some reason, everytime i get onto a shady carrier, i can guess who they factor with beforehand, SG Capital. Some people have discussed a potential scam involving them and the carrier passing the billing infos from one to another. Never was able to confirm this rumor but it is the first time that I have raised precautions on a factoring company.

A couple of older discussions for you below

The question is....do you like feeling sharp blunt objects in the back when your least expecting it?

Anything to do with Scotlynn is bad news... factoring, selling them loads, taking loads from them or even buying equipment from them on their never never ever plan and working as a driver for them. They will lie, threaten, cheat and steal. We all know how shady they are regarding selling them loads...you want them to be able to look at everything you do and the rate you do it for so they know exactly how to undercut your company the next time their is a bid? CMON NOW.

And for the naysayers out there who might try and stick up for them, I've been in this industry for 14 years now and starting out even back then they were known as scummy. Longstanding reputations usually aren't because of the "gossip mill" they are well earned and well deserved good or bad.

The best alternative is realize you aren't that desperate, give your head a bit of a shake and find another solution.
