Salto Freight - Bedford Ns

If you are owed monies by Salto Freight and/or Salto Freight Management - send in your complaint to Link today. And email in a proper clear and concise manner. Don't put it off any longer...

Victoria.Matthews@TransCore.com

Get their account shut down and hopefully recover your funds. They will keep booking freight until Link gets involved. No point coming on this board and complaining about it every other day...

Quite frankly, in my humble opinion, the LINK does not seem to care. We made a complaint which never appeared on their account. Then one day I received a request for a credit review from core for another company and this gave me the idea to send them my file on Salto. Within about a week Salto no longer had any credit on the LINK and we thought that we were getting somewhere. Then low and behold don't we find out that they have a new account on the link with his good credit from before. The moral of this story is THE LINK DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN AS LONG AS THEY ARE GETTING PAID!!!!!

martinetav,

If this is the manner in which you are addressing Link complaints (with negativity and your back up) - you aren't going to get very far. Link requires 3 complaints. This is nothing new. I know of one other company that has submitted a complaint - which means they need 1 more in order for their account to be shut down.

They only changed locations - therefore their history with Link remains - 2 complaints on file - regardless if they opened another account. It is the same owner - same company. I confirmed this also.

So unless 1 other person complains - nothing will get done with Link. And yes...they do care...members have been helped on this board in the past - they stick to their "3 strikes you're out" rule...And we hold them to that rule and make sure they follow thru with it.

Send an email to Link next week and ask where the account is at in regards to complaints. Hopefully by then - the last one will be submitted.

Did anyone on here haul a partial load from Nova Scotia to Westlock AB the last week of August for these guys.
If so please let me know.

Did a load for them worth 6000 & of course they couldn't pay it, so we had our collection guy send a letter & they are now working off there debt to us. we are down to 400 left owing so I'm hoping in the end we'll get back to 0 with these guys

Pretty sad you have to go to these lengths to get paid

So we had a truck available somewhere a couple of weeks back and I saw that our dispatcher took the load from Salto. Luckily it was earlier so based on what I've seen here I had it kabashed and gave the load back.

But we already had the rate confirmation, which actually was sent right off the bat with bill of lading and customs docs. Says the awarded carrier is Bayliner Freight. Anyone know of a connection between the two ... or is this double brokered.

Funny thing is ... we do business with who I believe is the actual customer on this (it's a different sales rep though).

I agree, and can personally attest to having several companies' LoadLink account shut down over non-payment.

Just wondering if they brokered the loads out to someone else, who didn't get paid. Did you, by any chance give them a load from AZ to NS end of May beginning of June this year?

well my freinds, we received a letter from Salto Freight today in which they state: "We regret to inform you that Salto Freight Management Corp. has been forced to cease operations. We have exhausted all avenues available to us to try to continue operations but have been unsuccessful. We have collected all receivables that are collectable as well as liquidated our assets, and after satisfying our obligations with the Canada Revenue Agency we regrettably,do not have the funds to satisfy our remaining Accounts Payable.
Please accept our sincerest apologies.
Salto Freight Management Corp."

This is by no means official. The letter is not dated and is not signed by anyone and I have corrected the grammer. Not sure how official this is or if they are just trying to get rid of us, because we are tenatious! Any one else get this letter?

martinetav,

The letter you received is certainly not a legal one - from a lawyer or bankruptcy office. Therefore you are legally entitled to go after your monies owed. This happens quite often with delinquents - they send out this kind of letter outlining no funds to pay - hoping creditors will just write off the balance owing. They never do close...and continue operating. They need to be forced - legally - into bankruptcy.

I would print off the letter you received from Salto - and forward it immediately to Link complaints.

Let Link call Salto directly and inquire. I am sure they will be interested in knowing an account of theirs - is sending out correspondence of this nature.

We too have 1 load for $4,300.00 dated June 7th but we have not received any
notices thus far to the above. We did send in a notice via email to LINK Complaints on Nov. 16th 2012. Thanks....JD

Thank you very much DRC. I would never have thought to send a copy to the Link.
Did anyone notice that they have a third account with the LINK. They are now calling themselves SALTO FREIGHT SYSTEMS 'INC'. and are, unfortunately still posting freight. I wish there was a way to warn others who do not use this sight!

Salto Freight Systems

If you call them today, they are answering their phone as Salto Management.

I know that they are going under Salto Freight Systems Inc.

Salto

I had a load booked with Salto yesterday, but when I read the entries on Inside Transport I had to cancel the load. I explained to Salto why I had to cancel the load and although he was disappointed he took it with a grain of Salto.................sorry.

They just called to try and book an LTL I had posted, luckily I saw this in advance. Could have been a disaster!
Do they even have equipment, as I didnt get to the point of asking for a package mc# etc?

Big news on this one folks, Just sent a monthly request for payment to bbrown@saltofreight.com and, as usual, put a 'READ confirmation request' which I received. Then a few minutes later I received a READ confirmation from bbrown@waverleytransport. Don't know if he's starting up a new company or if he just works for them but... buyer beware

I'd say so...
