Sales commissions

I started this thread discussing "in house" sales staff and their compensation , and I believe that has been the theme of the subsequent posts. Outside sales agencies are a completely different animal. I would assume their compensation would be commission only as they are not classified as employees.

Thanks for the reply, I know what our costs are or should be, its just that we have been approached by some independant outside sales force....we have never used this type of service before therefore just trying to get feedback from others.

Speaking of sales, here's something shocking:

Outside sales rep, $19k base plus 2% of customer rate plus a cell phone and car allowance.
