Good afternoon all...

I am not sure if you have every used any safety and compliance companies from the Peel Region, but if you have and have had issues with them I would like to hear from you.

Is this just a query to obtain information to "scoop business" or is it something on a legal recourse situation?

No I am not looking for any business...I just get alot of complaints about shady safety and compliance folks...you pay thousands and they do nothing for you. I am just putting a feeler out to see what response I get...do you think they should be regulatedÉ
 
So your are referencing the Safety and Compliance consultation industry I'm guessing? What sort of negative experience have you had?

Well maybe I should have noticed your question sooner. Do I think they should be regulated; no. As with any outside provider, weather it is a Human Resource Service or Accounting, or a Welder; clear objectives and measurable benchmarks must be established. When you think of it, if you are having the hypothetical welder come in you don't send him into your yard with a "fix trailer xyz." You would say the landing gear on trailer xyz is bent, we have a new set of legs in the shop for it, we have a bay if you need it and a shunter that can bring it in for you. How long will it take and how much?. This would clearly define the task and the resources available to the contractor, asking for a measurable timeline for completion and the cost to complete. Do we do the same for other service providers?
