It is with sad news that I advise all Inside Transport members - Paul Shteyn's Father Marat passed away on Saturday January 30th. His passing was sudden and heart breaking for the family. We all know Paul on this forum and his family's business - AMA Trans. Many of us have daily dealings with Paul whether it be on a business or personal level.

I'm lucky to call him one of my good friends in this industry...and someone I can always count on. I created this thread for all members to post their condolences and notes to Paul - which I am sure he will appreciate. Let's give the family some time for Shiva and keep your calls/texts till the end of the week.

On behalf of all members I included a poem below. We are here for him and his family whenever we are needed.

After They Are Gone

When someone we love passes away,
We ache, but we go on;
Our dear departed would want us to heal,
After they are gone.

Grief is a normal way to mend
The anguish and pain in our hearts;
We need time to remember and time to mourn,
Before the recovery starts.

Let's draw together to recuperate,
As we go through this period of sorrow;
Let's help each other with tender care
To find a brighter tomorrow.

I used to deal with Marat on a weekly basis at my past employer. He was always on top of everything... knew where the trucks were every second and what time they would be at origin or destination. I truly enjoyed every transaction with him.

He will be missed.

Paul, my thoughts and prayers to you your family and staff.

I never had pleasure of meeting Marat in person but always enjoyed the conversations and laughs we shared over the phone.

I could always count on the facts and then a quick joke from him.

To his family and friends I am so sorry for your loss of this great person.

RIP Marat , aka Borat, Putin

I'll miss you.

Paul,

Nothing anyone says will change the difficulty you and your family are going through right now. Of course you know the people you can turn to if you need anything from them at all.

My and Kerry's deepest condolences Paul. We know how important family is to you (it's always been #1 and will continue to be).

God bless,
Mike

Paul. I don't think I met your father however from what I read below he will also be missed greatly by many in our industry. My condolences.

Our most sincere condolences, Marat worked with us on countless occasions and it was always a pleasant experience.
