We caught them double brokering. We've noticed them in the past few weeks but the evidence is now clear. We've also learned they not only re-broker freight from US freight brokers but from Canadian brokers also.

Update: We've learned that they are also re-brokering freight for a higher amount then they receive from load broker.

Another Quebec numbered company !!! Are there any good companies out there in Quebec that are numbered companies??

I didnt deal with them, the contact on loadlink is Mark Hunt which sounds like a ficticious name. In the past groups of Russian criminals in Montreal would purchase small but well organised companies with an excellent credit rating and use that "favourable" status to broker as much freight as possible until people become aware of their scam. Last week I had a trucks in Texas looking to get home, Road Transport had loads in Little Rock but they posted Dallas because they were unable to find trucks in AR. The money there were offering sounded too good to be true and when I look at an alternative loadboard I was able to find a handful to US brokers posting freight in Arkansas to go back to Quebec, these loads were paying nowhere near what RTS was offering but as we know, numerous US brokerage outfits offer cash advances or COD with simply a signed bill of lading. I am worried that many out there did in fact book freight with RTS in the past few weeks and are simply unaware of these events. I have spoken to loadlink about this situation. Over the next few weeks we're going to get more updates for sure but we need to get the word out on this SCAM. Remember 10 loads at 3000$+ is 30,000$. if this is repeated daily over a 2 week period we're talking 300,000$. Those longhauls can be very profitable for criminals that take advantage of desperate carriers trying to get their trucks home from such far awar places as Laredo or El Paso. The question is, how many fell for it.

We need to get the word out on this ASAP let your friends/competitors everyone know.

Alex Rudavin is the owner of company

Isn't it sad that we have to be suspicious when you think you have found a good rate. My dispatchers know that if it is too good to be true then it usually is, we now do more checking on good rates than bad.

RTS (Road Transportation Solutions)

Just to confirm RTS does double broker!! I caught them red handed with one of my shipments. After seeing the original post on this thread yesterday I decided to investigate. Oct 20 we brokered a load to them and they faxed an invoice and POD Oct 28. A gentleman called Oct 29 looking for payment, he was extremely rude and demanded quickpay which we do not offer he was told to call back in 30 days and his response was he would call in 25.
I saw the post yesterday and grabbed the invoice and BOL and took a good look. Lucky for the actual carrier the driver had signed his company name on the bottom of the BOL next to his signature. I contacted the carrier and asked a few questions, this was the first shipment they had ever taken from RTS and the rate was for $300 more than what I was paying RTS. I had them send me all their documentation and found that RTS had altered the BOL. They removed the carrier name and stamp from the top of the BOL and even penciled in a new line LOL.
On top of that I noticed that on RTS' invoice they have a different address for mailing payments (quite sure we all know why)

I called and spoke to someone at RTS today and they tried to play completely stupid and it didn't go over very well. Tried to tell me that they're dispatchers are on commission and that the girl who took the load was new and blah blah blah! I explained that altering a legal document was fraudulant activity and we are considering making this a police matter. I also had him read my carrier confirmation with me regarding what happens when you dbl broker my freight. He says he's gonna look into it and call me back. HA LOL!

Also...in case anyone needs this info, they filled out an credit app that was sent to them by accident.
Principal owner is listed as : Alexander Rudavin
I also have the bank and account number.

send this to anyone out there before they taken by this company. this company was active this morning (11-02-09) We spoke with a broker in Georgia that confirmed to us "the same thing was still going". Their account with Loadlink has yet to be suspended! I took a drive to St-Lambert Quebec this past weekend and was unable ot find anything at their adress, it's a residential area with multiple condos near a busy street, clearly this scheme is being ran elsewhere in the Montreal area.

CANADIAN TRUCKING WATCHDOG: A well sophisticated scam has been detected in the Montreal area with ties to organised crime
