Are these people related to Road Transportation or Road Land? It seems this company is also out of Montreal area, and is posting loads on Internet Truckstop today. Their MC # doesn't even show up on the SAFER website.
 
Ranger-dispatch, if you are thinking about doing anything with these clowns, PLEASE do a search on RLS. Be prepared for about an hour of reading horror story after horror story.
 
They claim not to be part of the same outfit but I have found many similarities in the way they do business. All the sudden we see this new player with an abundance of freight on loadlink and other boards and to make things worse they have almost the same name as a the previous company we mentioned ROAD TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS. It doesnt seem to be the same people working there however so for legal purposes I will keep the rest of the comments to myself. I personally would not deal with them.

Do you have an adress on them in Pointe Claire, I live in that area maybe I'll drop by for a visit and ask them about the other company.

I have no intention of hauling anything for them. Just saw them posting and thought I should put it out here so others are aware.
 
Montreal Trucker, you are correct and I apologize to Ranger-dispatch for jumping to conclusions. I get very nervous when I see R._._ Transport/Logistics/Services/Solutions, etc., etc., out of anywhere near Montreal.
 
We just finished doing a load for them and found them easy to deal with and open and honest.

I don't know if you guys are talking about the right RLS but the one we deal with is:

I spoke with Debbie and Crystal about comments made on here and she has confirmed that I can give out her info and if anyone has questions about thier ligitamacy, to call them directly.

They have only been in business for 6 months and have no affiliations with RTS so, sometimes people should cut them some slack.

We also just did a load for them recently and had the same concerns as we had seen postings about RTS and got them confused with the people at RLS. We had even called the person who's name was on the paperwork to confirm that the freight had not been double brokered and they were actually dealing with RLS.

These days you can never be too carefull !!!!!
 
I haven't dealt with them personally. But, if they are legit shouldn't their MC # show up on the SAFER website?
 
This would be an excellent time for the owner/manager at RLS (Road Logistics Solutions) to join this blog and make a statement regarding this issue. It is unfair to them that a company with a very similar name and situated nearby had a double brokering scam.

It's hard enough to develop your business and it only takes 1 minute for someone else to destroy it. Even if its by mis-association.
 
Manitoba Moose, please extend my sincerest apologies to Road Logistics Solutions. I jumped to a very inaccurate conclusion that they were some how related to a similar sounding company that has received a large number of negative comments on this site. My intention was never to defame or cast any kind of negative aspersions. In my eagerness to protect fellow members of this industry I may have inadvertantly injured an innocent party and I deeply regret my actions. In the future I will take the time to ensure that any comments I wish to post are more thoroughly researched.

In my humble opinion, the problem on this board starts with someone commenting or asking about xyz company with very little info. The person doing the asking or commenting should make sure to include MC # and all the info they have so that this kind of thing doesn't happen or a make a situation escalate.

Who knows, one day it may be your company or ours that is on here getting the proverbial gears, right or wrong. But it seams that once a rumor or story starts about a company, it can bring it down real quick.

I understand the need to be extra careful out there in todays economy and with all the crooks looking for a patsy. But people, lets be careful not to injure a company that has done nothing wrong.

Now that I'm getting off my soapbox (smile), like I said in my previous post, this is the first load we've done for them and they have promised 30 payment. I will keep you posted on how prompt they are.

Just an up date. With the mail not 30 days but not 60 either I guess
 
Can anyone please give me an update on Road Logistic Solutions in Pointe Claire PQ? I see a few people saying they paid in 30 days and when I look at their Equifax, I see a payment pattern that doesn't suggest that. Load pending. Thanks!
