Has anyone had any problems with Road Link Express out of Hornby, Ontario?
We have just had one of our loads held for ransom by these guys. They did not want to pay the lumper fee to unload - although this fact was clearly indicated on our dispatch sheet along with the fact that we DO re-imburse for lumper fees. They demanded that we pay the entire amount for the load along with the lumper fess BEFORE they would go to unload. Needless to say, I don't think we will employ the services of Road Link Express again. Just so that everyone knows, we did try to send money to the receiver so that the carrier didn't have to reach into his pocket, but they would not accept a Visa/Mastercard - cash only on the receiving dock.

Just had a problem with Road Link Express out of 6150 Ninth Line in Hornby. Gave them a load and had them pick up yesterday with a delivery appointment for this morning at9:00am. Load was picked up but never showed this morning. I have been calling their office since this morning but either got voice mail or someone on the phone who did not know what was going on. Finally I was told that the dispatcher I booked the load with was working out of another number today. I was given that number and it rings to a company called Double Crown, but all you get is voice mail. I finally get someone on the phone who knows about the shipment, his name is Russell. He starts off by telling me that he wants more money because things are costing more than he though, gas repairs, driver etc, etc. You've got to love guys like this! When I booked the load I got all his paperwork and everything checked out, the only thing I did'nt do was check out this site, I'll know better next time.

What is the mc # for this company? I have a carrier Road Link Xpress set up out of Brampton just want to make sure it's not the same one.
Thanks
