Removing snow of the top of trucks - simple and smart device

Must be fun for the next guy that goes through :D Probably need someone on a skid steer clearing the way after each truck.

All you need is a rotating brush, like a lawn sweeper on springs to keep the tension on the roof of the trailer. Then have it set up over something like a trough to get rid of the spent up snow. A little warmth in the trough and the snow turns to water and runs away. Just like they have at Pearson, just a much smaller scale.

That device is only good when you are near your home terminal, how about a device which can be attached to your trailers in the winter, similar to a roll tite where the user could crank a wench which would have a blade go across or retract a tarp which would already be covered in snow??
this is a million dollar problem with a solid idea out there somewhere

If your are putting something on the trailer, it better be light. everyone wants to load 45500 lbs these days, lol.

We tried those snow arms when I worked at Sunbury back in the mid 90s. On our first trip the driver called in to say that he had "some good news and some bad news" with regard to his experience with the snow arm. "Well".. he said.."the good news is that the snow is off the trailer.. the bad news is that so is the roof".
