PUNU Transport - good?

They took freight for us and agreed to rates then after they had it picked up and at there dock they wantd alot more $$$$ I refused and had to get another carrier to p/u and deliver.

They appear to p/u freight with no game plan and end up asking for more money or giving it back last minute. Iv'e helped two brokers rescue freight from their dock.

Punu is on the DNU list.

Took truckload to BC from us, broke it up in to 3 parts to fill up 3 different LTL trucks. Gave them 5 day transit, delivered all three parts late.

A man named Dee was working there, and is now working for GN (Greg Nisan) Transport.

I visited their office in Brampton to address this issue. They work out of an attic above a mechanic shop in Brampton. None of the workers there wear shoes. The office is disgusting. I was there in the summer and there was no air conditioning. It was over 90 degrees in the office.

Also operating at PTI.

Again, three letters...

D.N.U.

We did a local delivery for Punu back on June 17, 2009.

Total invoice $105.00, the owner claims he has no money. We invoiced their client, they also claim to have no money.

$105.00?

Another new Canadian in Brampton who doesn't pay his bills, even tiny ones. How surprising is that?

Ltl

On our DNU list also since a couple of month. They took freight from Mississauga, ON to BC. They split the load up in 2 parts. Delivered first part late but we were able to deal with it. Second part took 2 weeks before getting there ! We lost our customer.
Tried to call many times. Ray wasn't there and the people in the office weren't able to answer. Lies after lies after lies...

It's amazing how many P.O.S. little guys there are out there running Western Canada ... the service from most guys running those lanes just makes me sick. You can run the stuff quicker on the train in most cases.

misto i know how you feel i lost 2 customers, had ftl loads delivered late and 1 load 25ft delivered 2 weeks late. not worth the headaches.
i was running around on my weekend trying to locate them, nobody in the office, gave me their wifes cell phone and said it was the drivers.

Lowmiler, Punu transport and AMA Trans are different companies, I had a simliar situation as MISTO27 when my shipment delivered 2 weeks lates.

Got a phone call from someone new at PUNU saying that the older owners sold the company and moved to some new business in BC, can anyone confirm this?

We did a load for PUNU in early october and are still having problems getting paid. We keep getting the run around on payment. There were no problem with the load.

I've heard a rumours that Panu closed their doors not too long ago !

of course all rumours, but I've tried to get an invoice and pod's for 3 months now and no luck at all... Seems strange for a company still operating to NOT want to get paid !...
