ProActive Transport Carriers

Does anyone on here have any up to date contact information for this company?
Have past due invoice that I am trying to collect on. I have gone to there given address in Brampton 35 Automatic Rd, company is not at this location and all numbers are disconected.....

ANY HELP would be GREAT!!!

Jemmx,

If you have gone to their location and they are no longer there - call the shipper. Tell them they will be on the hook for the invoice.

Also refer back to their credit application when they setup with you. Call the references they provided and see if any of them know where they are now....

I chased this guy for a while and gave up. He is out of the building and no where to be found. I have invoiced his clients. We found out that most of the loads he did give us where double brokered! Good luck at finding this one.
But if you do I would love to get the invoice we are left with paid too!

how much did he get you for?

That's sort of being a little too nosey, isn't it? I'm not sure other member benefit from that information...

Well it's good to know, if some new guy pops up and cuts you off the freight around $20K of debt, you might just never get paid.

It's a question, he/she doesn't have to answer.

We have some people we know who they took freight from and now they are stuck to settle paying these charges again.

As per FMCSA this carrier did NOT have broker authority, therefore those of you who did take freight were taking freight from someone who wasn't legally allowed to broker freight and had no bond. (I know most of his freight was US-Can / Can-US as he took some US brokers for a ride too)

Had this been taken from a broker with a bond you might not be this far out in debt.

I don't want to be a smart ass, just saying that when carriers encourage illegal activity such as this one, you are opening up a can of worms and might be in deeper than you'd like to be.

Shawn, you're off the mark here.

Their M/O has been using their equipment on one leg and 'interlining' for the other leg. But the guy kept opening different companies up and was running more than one concurrently most of the time. He even stiffed his owner-ops.

It's not the same as say a Rockman or the like. It's just as crooked though.

You don't need a broker authority to interline.

That's an opinion, I still see it as double brokering.

And many times it wasn't his truck at all.

But either way many people are out a few dollars!

You can say or accuse people, but until you actually know what happens you should just not speak of it...

We've been in business since 1978, never had any non-payment complaints, and we pay quicker than most.

Very off topic post...

All apologies to the OP, back to the topic.

Boy, that's calling the kettle black!

My whole point is that you seem to bring up the authority card a lot, under this user name and your last one. I don't think this has anything to do with having authority or not. This guy is simply a fraud who has taken everyone -- brokers, carriers, and truck operators all for quite the ride using many different names.

It doesn't matter if it's 'co-brokering', interlining, or just plain trading off the load boards ... it's double brokering and if it's not with full disclosure and consent it's just plain crap. The fact is, a carrier that interlines has the loophole that it doesn't need authority to do so. It's up to the other parties to make sure that the right ones are being held liable for whatever happens during a shipment event.

You can identify me, I don't mind, thats why I changed my account name.

No need to hide.

Our business is our business, we maintain relationships everywhere we can, our customers & providers seem happy about what we do for them.
