Any payment history or comments on this company?
I am thinking about doing some work for them.

Thanks,
HHT:)

PLS is an excellent company, I would never hesitate to do business with them. If they have freight for you that meets your requirements you should consider yourself lucky. My invoices get paid within 45 days, take a week off for mail each way and that put them right around 30 days.

short paying

Anybody else getting short-paid by this company on a regular basis?

Sometimes just a few cents for some dumb reason, but other times they are taking an extra $10 or $20 on a load...

pls

Not this company but have some other U.S. companies short paying. One reason one company told me was they are charging for sending mail and charge for stamp.

I laughed at him - he can't afford few cents to send chq.

Hi Jonny,

We do a bit of work for PLS and they are good payers.

At one point we too thought we were being underpaid when it turned out to be our interpretation of their load confirmation sheets.

For example when we set up the contract with them, we had a specified min weight per shipment.

Let's say for example 78,000 lbs. When they send a load confirmation sheet they estimate the load weight to be say... 80,000 lbs so they use that weight to give you an estimate of the amount to invoice, but if the load turns out to be 77,000 lbs, the min weight paid will be the contacted one set up of 78,000 lbs not the weight quoted on the rate confirmation sheet.

Another thing that was different with PLS was that they paid a mileage rate for fuel surcharge not a % like most of our customers do, so take a look at that calculation (although it shouldn't change from the quote).

Been dealing for few years Never a problem!!!
make sure you have all the proper numbers and info on the invoice though
Thanks

Any problems with payments from PLS these days?

I've got something from February that is still unpaid. I was told I have to contact the individual broker who we booked the load with, but can't seem to find him.

Wondering if this is a one-off or a new trend...
