PLATINUMX DOUBLE BROKERED OUR SHIPMENT AND FAILED TO PAY THE CARRIER WHO ACTAULLY MOVED IT. HARVEY ADMITTED THE DOUBLE BROKERAGE AND COMMITTED TO RESOLVING THE PAYMENT ISSUE ONLY TO STOP ANSWERING CALLS. HAPPY TO SHARE ADDITIONAL DETAILS IF NEEDED.
 
I'm interested in knowing more about this, we recently used them 2 weeks ago and I'd like to know more about who they used and the situation.
 
They used Apple Transport - also in Surrey. The invoice was for $5400, PlatinumX apparently paid Apple $2000 via e-transfer - can't confirm if the confirmation they sent me was doctored. Apple factored the whole invoice amount and collections agency notified us.
 
Harvey has still not responded but his partner Joe has and appears to be motivated to address this. That being said the collections agency contacted me as recently as this morning so it is not addressed yet.
 
Just updating - PlatinumX has gone 100% radio silent and bounced cheques. Safe to say anyone who is owed anything is out of luck.

Joe is ex VK delivery, explains alot....
 
They like to give their "sister company" GRD Transport or to GRH Transport shipments if they can't complete the shipment. They will pick up, do the long haul (not completely sure about the long haul part) then give it to one of them to finish the job.

We called him out on it, they were obviously very upset as he thought it's completely fine to do that without letting us know, they used their trailer but had one of their "sister companies" to deliver the shipment with their trailer.

Anyway, long story short they mentioned that he'll have collections reach out to both our shipper & receiver if we don't choose to pay Platinum for the "job" they did and to put a lien on their business.

We were going to pay them we never said we weren't, we wanted to know the story as to why they gave it out but they went into defense mode right away.

They've been DNU in our books since March - 2025.
 
I am not one to post on here but I do a lot of business with this company, almost daily. On pick ups I have asked my shippers at various locations to tell me what name is on the trucks and trailers and they have not let me down. I think at some point when working in this industry, something like this happens. I am not here to defend Platinum but I can only speak to my experiences. He has done probably more then 100 moves for me and he has consistently come through. Have there been small hiccups, yes. Has he been transparent in those instances, yes. Has the communication been good, yes. Would I give him another load the minute that I have it, absolutely. Just my two cents.
