I have been receiving calls from Patrice Jette a company with no credit history offering me freight to the US.

Has anyone heard of this company and does anyone know what their terms are? Any help would be appreciated.

Krazysilk I would be very carefull if I were you it sounds fishy to me. Maybe connected to this ring of people in QC that are scamming people. I would get all the info on this person/company and check it out thoroughly! If you have the loads already be sure to call the shipper/consignee and ask who they gave the load to.

i call the consinee and she told me she gave to that broker who gave the load,
i aready pick the frieght xwestcarrier

Ok keep us posted on how things go. You have to be very vigil these days especially with QC companies.

It really makes sense to check out who you're dealing with BEFORE you take the load. I see no record of Patrice Jette at www.safersys.org...and that should be a clue right there. Right out of the gate he shouldn't be offering freight to/from the US without an MC or a bond...A link subscriber huh...

I do see them on the Link, strictly a broker I guess as they do not have an MC, DOT or CVOR # they apparantly have been in business for 15yrs yet they have no credit score or info. Looks like it is a 1 man operation as there is only 1 employee listed. Has a hotmail email address, I dunno about anyone else but I would have some issues with it.

A broker is supposed to have an MC number if he's brokering freight in the states (or to/from the states).. doesn't matter if he's a one man show.. many of us are and we manage to run on the up and up..don't trust the loadboard twiddleheads to do your job for you..i.e. verifying brokers.

God no! Never ever rely on Link for anything! Most of the information on there is not up to date or correct. They do not verify anything about the people they allow to use the Link.

Who knows what they verify or not...and who cares. At the end of the day you take the hit if the broker is not qualified and doesn't pay...

broche a foin operation

It's a "broche a foin" operation as I suspected. Booked a load with them and sent a truck, the load was booked as a flatbed load and when driver showed up he was told it's a van load. I called Patrice Jettes' dispatcher who confirmed it was a van load. In no way did I book a van load. My other dispatcher had an issue with them a few weeks ago, I have added them to my NU list.

Weary

I would be a little weary. I have called on several of his postings. Rates are always very low. He seem to move automobiles and forklifts and such.
I cannot find anybody in my entourage here in Montreal that has dealt with him or even knows of him!!
