Ontario starting work on Highway 11’s 2+1 roadway

Not a bad idea really and it should work. Not much difference than the passing lanes on 7 from Peterborough to Ottawa. So long as the people in the lead maintain the same pace as before the passing lane arrives, and not increase as they seem to do at every passing lane on 7, it should work. Winter plowing might be the only issue?
 
Great timing by the time they get it finished it will need to be widened again as traffic volumes are going no where but up. Canada 1st world county 3rd world roads we as a country do not have a 4 lane divided highway to get across. One bridge down can shut the country down as we have seen, Shameful..

honestly - 8 lane hwy are now the norm in a lot of countries - why can't we have a 10yr growth plan
