Ontario Plates

Robsan, if you are going to do this it "may" be cheaper to prorate for every jurisdiction @ 80K and Ontario @ 63,500 KG's.

My prorate plate for all of Canada (except PQ) @ 41,000 KG's and the USA (except CA) @ 80,000 LBS (85,000 where possible) is half of what Ontario wants.

That is a fantastic idea it cuts out most of the 70% increase, I know 4 daycabs that are getting PRP plates at the end of the month.

THANKS RALPHTHETRUCKER, I see a donation coming on as we just saved money.

Two additional benefits of this are that it may reduce the number of IRP "fleets" you have for licensing (making it simpler) and it will give you greater versatility. When you need a truck to go somewhere all your trucks are plated the same so in an emergency you can send a daycab or local truck anywhere.
