It was not a win, it was a proper judgement. If you read the case, the claimant is bordering on fraud. Mr. Binapal of Trans Emerge had a 'non-arms length' business relationship with Mr. Mander of Hub. You cannot buy the shares of trucking company, make up a bunch of repairs from a repair shop and then charge storage. This was a failed attempt to find a way to siphon off money out of secured vendors by trying to make themselves a secured vendor through the Repair Lein and Storage Lein acts.
They're lucky they got off with a 310,000k indemnity cost - they should have both been put in jail.
