Northbound Logistics

Has anyone done business with these guys and have a report?

i have them on a d.n.u. list, not really bad people i just didn't feel some of the dispatchers took my frieght or my custmers very serious.i can't afford to loose customers, and hear from the dispatchers [don't worry buddy]..

Gave them lots of LTL to the states did good the first couple of weeks and then could not make a delivery to save their life or call us that they would miss deliveries - definitely on the DNU list.

yes, I looked at their d&b and equifax report.....and was curious what the the real world had to so say

I am still waiting for payment from the end of June and no one has returned my calls. Left messages for Jesse the owner. They have had some troubles this past year and there are previous threads about them - in rumours I believe.

I have them on DNU but only because they were conditional cvor (has an uncanny correlation with shitty payment patterns too) and because one of their dispatchers was a dick. Never had to take freight from them. A carrier that has a shaky safety record will likely also not be paying attention to other aspects of their business.

Unfortunately my dispatcher took the shipment without checking with me first. He thought they would be ok because I USED to give them alot of freight.

Did a few shipments for us until 1 day they took freight.. coulden't build a load so they didn't move it then lied saying it was delivered and went as far as forging a POD when we knew at that point it hadn't left the country... DNU

Northbound Logistics *Urgent Matter

This came in on my email. The information is disturbing, I decided to share this information for everyone to see.

This company located in Etobicoke, ON doesn't pay Owner Opertators for services rendered. The owner Jessie owes me thousands of dollars for services I supplied. After issuing for NSF cheques to me refused to pull another load. He then turned the table and made false accusations in regards to my work history. I have made several phone calls trying to collect the money with no success. The bank that I deal with tried for two weeks to collect the NSF cheques with no success. I am not the only person he has done this to. This man continues to lure Owner Operator into his company and continues not to pay. When I call to talk to him and try to rectify the issue he is conveniently never available, there's always an excuse as to why he is not available.

**************************************************If anyone would like to contact me or one of the victims please send a message***

Seems alot of owner operators are getting screwed and more companies are trying to go the owner operator way to safe money on equipment. Have had a bunch of old drivers contact me about work as they weren't getting paid well or at all as a owner operator.
It's bad that the ones doing the work don't end up getting paid for it.

If you have any real good drivers send them my way if you can't use them.We have a couple of empty trucks but just can't find reliable professional drivers and yes we have the miles to keep them happy.

I was just talking to a driver from "over the road" he told me the exact same thing happened to him with Northbound.

Dee5276 - if the driver from OTR is a friend of yours - let them know Richard does the same thing - doesn't pay his drivers...vendors...or anyone else for that matter....

Yes I did receive payment. I had to get a lil nasty with a gentleman there. But I picked up a chq on Friday. I thought it was really funny he had the nerve to ask me if I had a truck that could do a p/u in PA that day for him, even if I did run there and desperately needed freight I wouldn't touch thier's with a 10' pole.
