Another one for everybody's "double broker list". We gave these guys an LTL shipment last Feb. from California to Vancouver. The Bill of Lading that was sent us had the original carrier's name whited-out and theirs written over top. Just to cover their tracks further, they placed their PARS sticker over top of the original carriers! The only reason we even caught this, was our customer here in Toronto sent us a copy of the delivering Bill of Lading with all the original names and PARS. Before I go "off the deep end" on this, I am going to find out if Nijjar gave this shipment away due to some sort of scheduling or mechanical problem. In any event, why could they not have been truthful and honest, and told us if they had a problem? Fortunately, the shipment did deliver OK and no one is asking for any extra money. It is a real pain that we now have to spend additional time and energy to double and triple check every bill, when a simple phone call would have worked, giving us the chance to say yes or no to the assignment of our freight.
