Just came across this new scam that we almost fell for today. Got called on a truck posting from someone claiming to be from a large US broker, one we haven't worked with before. Rate wasn't super high, just the going rate on the lane, so nothing seemed off there.

Then they said we needed to do an RMIS carrier packet and that's where things got fishy. I noticed the email the packet came from was misspelled, so I called the broker's office number to confirm (found the number myself, not from the email) and they verified it was a scam to steal carrier info.

The scammers went so far as to recreate the entire RMIS site to make it look legit. They get you to fill out all your info and use it to steal your identity.

Watch out for this one, especially with new brokers you don't work with.

nasty, nasty, nasty.
Domain registered 9 days ago and hosted out of London England. Obviously, a phishing site.

As an aside, years ago we blocked all browser traffic via GEOIP to anywhere outside of North America. This site is blocked to our users. It's a PITA if you have websites that are necessary outside of North America but so far, we have only had about 25 that needed to be whitelisted. It's safe to say that this one will not make the list. I'd recommend everyone to block this website to you users and ensure it doesn't get accidently used.

stonearchlogisticllc.com, domain in the email, the is also the same age as their RMIS site. There is no website attached to that site and only used for the MX records.

Both
stonearchlogisticllc.com
stonearchlogisticsrmis.com
should be blocked on all your systems.
