Hello Team,

I have an update regarding the payment for this load.
I tried calling New Hartland Transport several times and also reached out by email, but they did not answer my calls or respond to my emails.
I then contacted the shipper directly and explained the situation. The shipper informed me that they had never given this load directly to New Hartland Transport. According to the shipper, the load was originally booked with another carrier and had been triple-brokered before it eventually came to us.
Later that same evening, I contacted Ashdeep at New Hartland Transport. He was very upset that I had contacted the shipper. He came back to me with an offer that, if I could accept as much as he was able to pay, he could send an e-transfer.
I continued to follow up with him and requested that he make at least some payment toward the amount owed. Eventually, he sent an e-transfer for $150.00.

This morning, Ashdeep also messaged me asking me to remove the email thread from IT. I told him that I would not remove the thread, but I would provide an honest update stating that I received $150 after repeatedly following up and essentially having to beg for payment.

I wanted to keep everyone updated and be transparent about what has happened with this payment.

I’m glad to say that I have received the payment.
However, since last week, my company has been receiving multiple 1-star Google reviews that I believe are connected to New Hartland Transport.

I am a small owner-operator with only a few trucks. Like many small trucking businesses, I am already struggling with the current economy and trying to keep up with my bills and operating costs. These reviews are putting additional pressure on my business and affecting my reputation.

I honestly do not understand why this is happening. I have not said anything personally insulting or inappropriate about anyone. I simply shared my own experience and what happened from my perspective. I believe I have the right to share an honest experience, as long as I am being truthful and respectful.

What concerns me even more is that some of the people leaving these 1-star reviews appear to be located in Punjab, India, while my company is based in Canada. I do not understand how they are connected to my Canadian business or whether they have ever actually had any dealings with my company.

Sorry for your frustrations. Most people who actually look to Google reviews for an actual decision can see through the mess to find substantive information. We don't give much weight to a 1 star, no explanation, google review without looking at the other reviews the submitter posted. If you have time, reply and simply state that you don't have a clue who the poster is, that you never have done any business with a contact of that name, and are confused why they left a negative post. Copy and paste it for all of the negative reviews you got lately. Your response is worth a lot more to your reputation than the 1 star review.
